"Soft reboot" Eartha's Oddyssey

I’ve been looking through the comics of Eartha, & I was noticing the inconsistent stories & not a lot of “cool places” to go. Well, there were some, but I don’t think it's enough. So, here’s a blog about how I’m feeling about the Eartha comics, & why I might “soft reboot” it. I recommend you read this to really understand where I'm coming from.

Characters)

The characters besides Eartha, Stella & Coral, aren’t used often or properly. It felt like I artificially put them for the sake of having “more characters” instead of organic characters with their uniqueness.

I also noticed that Stella & Coral have starred in some of their own stories, but I don’t believe they can carry on their own, since they’re mostly “passive characters.” Eartha is an “active character.” Active roles tend to move the story most of the time. 

I’m not gonna ditch Stella & Coral, as I do have plans for them. For Stella, I’m trying to make her a “secondary character” because I do have some interesting backstories for her. Including something relating to Eartha. As for Coral, a “supporting role” would suit her more. She probably won’t join Eartha (& maybe Stella) on a grand adventure, but I’ll see.

As for Eartha, I gotta make her get off her ass & go do something more often.

So as you see, quite a few, but it’s not enough! Since 2020, I wanted to draw this blue goblin girl venturing to different places as she grows up. Now it’s 2026, and I only made around NINE unique locations?! 

My next story with Eartha is to take her to Mt. Diablo to see if her mom is still alive there & it's a personal journey. But I’m STILL STUCK in a scripting & sketching phase since 2025! Holy guacamole, what is wrong with me? 

Maybe I am being too ambitious. To those of you who like Eartha & are waiting for another adventure, I am so sorry. Inconsistency & a bit of depression have taken a toll on me as of late. Maybe I’m not fit for this comic shit… Bah.

What’s next?)

Anyway, what’s really next? I think I wanted to “soft reboot” Eartha’s Oddyssey. Like I described, I’ve been making a few changes in terms of character designs & (according to my notes) settings. Plus, I’m going almost nowhere with Eartha as of now. I was more busy with Rosie & the monster girls because the setting & genre are more simple than Eartha’s. 

The most recent Eartha comic was in December 2025. And it’s already freaking July?!…

How do I “soft reboot” the Eartha comics? For starters, some of the previous comics I made are now “beta versions,” meaning proof of concepts for future stories. Remix-ish in some form of fashion. “Non-canon,” you may add? 

The ones that will remain “canon” are the “Space Tour, Pools, & Dino Bash” comics. I gotta figure out how to place them in the new “timeline” or something. 

I am working on different outfits for Eartha & (eventually) the other characters that are related to locations, such as Chile & Japan (names not final). I’m actually having fun with that. Do you like Eartha’s new outfit? That will be her main outfit after Mt. Diablo chapter.

Speaking of that mountain…

As for Mt. Diablo story, I will (stubbornly) continue the scripts & either make that the “official 1st chapter,” or another chapter. Or maybe I’ll remake “Junkyard” by adding more scenes, & make that the 1st official comic. I don’t know, but I’ll see. When will I finish that? Hopefully, before this year ends. Hopefully…
